Laparoscopic surgery has revolutionized general surgery in the past few years. Many surgical procedures once requiring large incisions and necessitating multiple day hospital stays are now being done through tiny surgical incisions. Dr. Crooms was the first surgeon to bring this to our community, performing the first laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Tallahassee in May of 1990.
